If you’ve been following Papaya for a while, you might have noticed something’s changed.
Actually – a lot has changed.
We’ve got a new look.
A brand new website.
And most exciting of all – a bold new direction that’s going to help us reach more families than ever before.
We’re proud to introduce the all-new Papaya Talks: Expert-led talks that help families thrive in the digital age.
Why the change?
When we started out as Papaya Parents, we were a small, passionate team delivering talks to help families understand the impact of smartphones and social media on young people’s lives.
Over time, our reach and reputation grew – mostly by word of mouth. But something big happened last year.
We connected with the incredible team at Smartphone Free Childhood – and discovered we were working on two sides of the same challenge.
SFC were building a powerful, grassroots movement, reaching hundreds of thousands of families across the UK. We were delivering the expert-led talks that helped turn concern into confidence, and spark real change in communities.
It clicked. Together, we could go further, faster. And with SFC’s support, we’ve spent the last few months building the foundations of the next phase.
Papaya Talks: clearer, stronger, and ready to grow
Our updated name reflects what we do best:
We give talks. And we help families talk – about smartphones, screens, social media, and how to grow up healthy in a world that doesn’t always make it easy.
Our rebrand isn’t just a fresh coat of paint. It’s a strategic shift to sharpen our focus and widen our impact. We’ve:
– Trained up a new national network of brilliant speakers
– Overhauled our website to make talks easier to understand and book
– Simplified our messaging so more people know exactly who we are and how we can help
– Built a visual identity that feels confident, warm and recognisable
– Partnered with SFC to bring these conversations to more communities than ever
And we’re just getting started.
Partnering with SFC: stronger together
We’re thrilled to officially become the talks partner of Smartphone Free Childhood.
SFC are leading a powerful movement – bringing together families, schools and communities who want to give kids more time to learn, grow and thrive free from addictive algorithms. Their campaign is capturing national attention and energising conversations across the country.
We want to help turn that energy into action – one talk, one school, one community at a time.
Together, we’re making sure that if someone wants to bring this conversation to their local school, there’s a Papaya speaker ready to go.
Whether it’s an expert-led talk for families, or an interactive KS2 workshop for pupils, our sessions are designed to spark honest conversations, build confidence, and help everyone take the first step toward a healthier digital life.
