Kathryn Marsh
Kathryn is an experienced primary school teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience across both primary and secondary schools. Currently, Kathryn works as a specialist SEND and emotional well-being teacher in a large school in Manchester. She also has two son’s aged 10 and 14.
Kathryn is a strong advocate for delaying smartphone use for children, recognising the importance of protecting childhood and allowing healthy brain, social, and emotional development. Kathryn’s research and first-hand experience has meant that she is committed to education focussing on reducing excessive screen time and early exposure to social media. Kathryn believes this has a significant impact on children’s nervous systems, attention, relationships, and emotional regulation, particularly when it replaces mindful activities such as outdoor play, creativity, conversation, reading, and rest.
