Dr. Helen Thomas

Susie Davies is a GP with a special interest in Dr Helen Thomas is a GP in Hampshire, a member of Health Professionals for Safer Screens as well as a parent member of Smartphone Free Childhood. Dr Thomas has delivered health harms talks in schools and healthcare professional training across Hampshire. She has recently developed a professional education module including a screening tool for identifying children at risk and, together with Health Professionals for Safer Screens, a resource package for professionals in healthcare and education to signpost families to.

Working with Health Professionals for Safer Screens, Smartphone Free Childhood, schools and clinicians Dr Thomas is passionate about recognising and reducing the harm on children related to smartphone and social media use and the wider impact on families, schools and communities. Collaborating with colleagues, she hopes to influence schools to be smartphone free, parents to consider brick/basic phones for their children and for children to be free to experience their childhood in real life.
