Karlina Lock

Karlina Lock is a co-headteacher at a primary school in Bristol, with a specialist focus on curriculum, teaching and learning, and SEND. She is passionate about creating inclusive, purposeful learning environments where every child can thrive.

As a mum to two young children, Karlina brings a grounded, relatable perspective to her work—especially around screen use in childhood. She has seen first-hand the subtle shifts in attention and the emotional impact that digital devices can have on children’s development. This dual lens of educator and parent fuels her commitment to supporting families in building healthier tech habits.

In her presentations, Karlina shares personal experiences and insights alongside the research and practical strategies developed by Papaya, helping parents demystify tech use in childhood and feel more confident navigating the digital world with their children.
